Outlook Express.
Yes, just the regular old OE
where we keep our e-mail
addresses. Create html e-mails
or create a web page andthen
send that page as an e-mail
using OE. You can send any web
page using this procedure. Looks
great and is FREE. I
have used this for my E-News for
eight years after I entered the
world of website building. --

Steps:
-
Create a simple e-news web page
on your club or federation
website and publish to the
server.
-
To send that e-newsletter page
as e-mail:
Go to that page on your site and
click on the URL at the top in
the address line to highlight
it.
Right click and select COPY
-
In Outlook Express, click on
CREATE MAIL to bring up a blank
form.
-
At the top of the blank e-mail,
click on MESSAGE and NEW USING
-
Select WEB PAGE and a box will
appear saying "Enter the URL of
the web page you want
to send"
-
Right click and select PASTE in
the form. The URL (title) of
your web page will appear in
this box. Click OK.
-
The web page now appears in your
Outlook Express e-mail ready to
be sent to your e-mail
list.
Always check the email to make
sure that it looks as you want
it to look by sending it to
yourself first.
Yes, there may be some on your
lists which have their e-mail
set for "plain text" and are
unable to receive graphics in
e-mails. NO PROBLEM! At the top
of the e-mail give them a
link so they can go directly to
the web page on your website and
view the E-News in glorious html
format complete with color,
graphics, photos, etc. Example:
if
you are unable to view this
e-mail properly.
